The Rubbish Shakespeare Company were at it again at the Unity.
For the Bard’s work to be accessible to everyone, regardless of background. As for those who’ve had negative formative experiences with Shakespeare, RubSC want to show Shakespeare is not, in fact, rubbish!
Their goal
Well they certainly did that with their truly mad cap (ulet) version (see what I did there!) of Romeo and Juliet.
Lots of kissing (well calls for kissing), knife crime, suicide, dancing, wigs, water boarding and GBH with sausage rolls. What a great way to understand Shakespeare’s classics
