Another amazing performance at the Tung Auditorium by Tangramsound
Inspired by one of the earliest texts of Chinese philosophy, Divine Intimacies explored how nearly a thousand years of musical thought can be translated into contemporary sound.
Fascinating performance as the musicians were surrounded by a responsive LED installation created by artist Ke Peng, with visuals by Chang Meng. The light shifted in colour and pattern as the performance played out, forming a changing visual landscape around the musicians who were
- Peng Cheng – erhu
- Yi-Hsuan Chen – flute
- Garwyn Linnell – cello
- Kang Yang – guzheng
Great to hear this combination of instruments excellently played together.
