A late summer camp in the Lakes was always going to be risky weather wise. As it turned out it made for good photos and a good excuse to try out the iconic beers from the re-established Jennings Brewery.
We did a new walk to us, a circular up and around Hig Rigg and back via St Johns church and the vale.
Staying at the wonderful Castlerigg Hall campsite, we made the most of the other days with a visit to Cockermouth and a trip to the brewery as well as a walk around Derwent water (well a bit of it).
