As part of Milap’s Summer series we were treated to one of the leading Carnatic flautists of his generation:
J. A. Jayant Celebrated for his rich tone, lyrical expression and imaginative improvisation he was joined by two outstanding percussionists:
- R N Prakash, a highly respected mridangam artist known for his precision, flair and sensitive accompaniment, and
- Kousic Sen, an acclaimed tabla player recognised for his dynamic solo and collaborative work.
Together, they created a vibrant and nuanced musical dialogue, showcasing the depth, virtuosity and expressive power of Indian classical music.
