We took the opportunity to make the most of the glorious weather by visiting the newly opened Captain Alexander in James St Liverpool as we had heard it had a roof top beer garden.. One of the things we miss most in Liverpool is the ability to sit outside when (it does happen) the sun is out. Please to say things are turning round however and there are more pubs that are tuning into this and offering outside areas..
When Oli turned up we moved onto the Merchant (thumbs up for their outside area) and did our best to not be tempted by the on site “Night Crawler” pizza bar as we were off to visit Rudy’s on Castle Street and didn’t want to spoil our tea. Lisa and I hadn’t been before but wow, so nice.. Great service and lots of space (can’t stand getting crammed in places when eating). J
