Being a lover of French Macarons and the owner of a very sweet tooth when I heard about the Macaron Lounge I knew we (…well me!) needed to visit!
This small patisserie and cafe, which is in the heart of Ainsdale Village, is beautifully decorated in a french classical style with a very tempting array of cakes, fine artisan macarons, chocolate and pastries.
After a really warm welcome from the owners and much deliberation Al and I made our choice of raspberry frangipane & a lightly toasted tea bread accompanied by the most decadent hot chocolate ever and real leaf Cheshire tea.
Our cakes arrived, beautifully presented and served with fresh raspberry and huge chocolate swirl. Both where absolutely delicious.
It would, of course, be rude to leave without any Macarons so I picked out four which where packaged up beautifully in a little box. These come in a variety of flavours and we picked out four in raspberry, strawberry and chocolate. These would make amazing presents or wedding favours.
The owners Robert and Francesca were so helpful and friendly and we would love to return to the Macaron Lounge to try some more of their amazing productions!
