No camping for us this time, but a lovely B&B, Abacourt right in the heart of Keswick ran by John and Heather Manners (Check out our Trip Advisor Review). We only stayed a few nights but that gave us plenty of time to visit the fresh air of Whinlatter forest park with its wonderful views back across to Keswick and Derwent Water. Whilst there we also went to see ‘A Christmas Carol’ at the Theatre by the Lake.. No bah humbug for us this Christmas.
