We thought we would repeat our earlier visit, this year, to the National Trust venue of the pinewoods of Formby point. We were not as lucky with the weather but we still managed to follow the wonderful red squirrel walk, have a mini picnic and finish off with a beer in the cosy Beer Station at Freshfields station. Even got to see a few woodland critters too…
